Dr. Hayes is a board certified, sports medicine fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who has been in private practice since 1997. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Hayes is a Texas A&M Former Student. He is an honors graduate from The University of Texas Health Science Center - SA and completed orthopaedic residency at The University of New Mexico. He completed an additional year of training in sports medicine/arthroscopy in Southern California in 1996. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Hayes' professional interests have included cartilage restoration as well as disorders of the shoulder. He performed the first cartilage transplant in Houston and continues to lecture and teach treatment options for complex shoulder pathology. After a seven year productive career in Tomball, Dr. Hayes and wife Denise decided to change course, In 2005, Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine opened for business.
Dr. Hayes and wife Denise have lived in The Woodlands since 1997. They have two children, Maddie and Peyton. Maddie graduated from The Woodlands High School and is now attending the University of Denver. Peyton is in high school at The John Cooper School. The family members are avid golfers, skiers, and love to travel.
